Salt spray test chamber is mainly used for corrosion testing in continuous or regularly sprayed salt spray environments.
The salt water spray test is used to test the corrosion resistance of various materials after anti-corrosion treatments such as electroplating, anodizing, spraying and anti-rust oil. It mainly simulates the influence of marine climate on product quality, and evaluates its anti-corrosion ability according to the standard.
NSS test: Neutral Salt Spray test, it uses 5% sodium chloride saline solution with a PH in the neutral range (6 ~ 7) as the spray solution. At the test temperature of 35℃, the sedimentation rate of salt spray is 1 ~ 2ml/80cm2/h.
ASS test: Acetate acid salt spray test, to simulate the polluted atmosphere and acid rain environment in the city, glacial acetic acid is added to the 5% sodium chloride solution to turn it into an acidic solution with a PH value of 3.1~3.3, and the test temperature is controlled at 35±1℃. This method is suitable for all kinds of metal materials and coatings, such as detecting the corrosion resistance of decorative chrome plating and cadmium plating. Its corrosion rate is about 3 times faster than that of the NSS test.
CASS test: Copper accelerated acetate salt spray test, a small amount of copper salt - copper chloride is added into the salt solution, the test temperature is 50℃. The corrosion rate is approximately 8 times that of the NSS test. This method is suitable for rapid detection of corrosion resistance of zinc die-casting parts and decorative chrome plating on the surface of steel parts in quite harsh working conditions, as well as for inspection of anodized, phosphated or chromated aluminum materials.
